Ingredients
100 gm Butter or Margarine
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Raw Peanuts
1 1/4 cups S.R. Flour
2 teaspoons Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 egg. |
Method:
1/. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and peanuts - stir well -
2/. then add dry ingredients.
3/. Pat into small pieces and
4/. place on greased dish and bake until nice brown.
5/. About 20 minutes on 180 degrees.

Duck: ³¿¤ôÀn

Ingredients For Marinate:
2 Table Spoon of Salt
4 Slices of Ginger
2 Spring Onion
2 Tooth Picks
Dipping Sauce
3 table spoon of Vinegar
5 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)

For Cooking:
1 Size 21-22 Duck
1 Table Sp. Garlic Black Been Sauce
100 Ml Dark Soya Sauce
1 Tea Spoon Five Spices
4 Cloves of Garlic
1 Table Spoon Brown Sugar
1 Table Spoon Cooking Oil
1 Cinnamon Stick
2 Star ainseed
1 Tea Spoon Dried Pepper
Hot Water (Enough to Cover) |
Steps:
- clean the duck, remove excess fat, pluck it clean
- rub the salt on the duck and inside the duck
- stuff the duck with spring onion and ginger, close the duck with the 2 tooth picks
- leave it aside in the fridge for 6 hours or overnight
- boil water
- heat the wok
- put in cooking oil when heated, put in garlic, garlic bean sauce; then brown sugar before putting duck in.
- shallow fry until golden brown on both sides of the duck, pour dark soya sauce on the duck before adding hot water. Water level has to be close to the top of the duck.
- Reduce heat to medium and let it boil for 30 mins before turning to another side and cook for another 30 mins; make sure there is enough water.
- take the duck out to cool before cutting it to serve.
- Can serve with vinegar & garlic sauce (optional)

Green Bean (Mung Bean) soup
For 1 person, (multiply the amount if you are preparing for 2 or more)
1/4 cup of green bean
1 1/2 cup of water
Procedure:
Wash the green bean
Place the green bean into the saucepan, and then add water
Bring the water to boil on high, then lower the fire to medium, boil for 8-10 minutes depend on the season, with the lid on. (Do not open the lid while it is cooking). The beans are just about to split and water is at its most green state, drain the water that should give you 1 cup, just drink the water, and discard the beans.
(optional) Extra to add is Huang Qi (Astragalus root)
Huang Qi replenishes & benefit Qi, helps to strengthen our protective Qi & Zhong Qi; start with 2 pieces of Huang Qi, Huang Qi is slightly warm in property, so if you feel that it is too warm (e.g. your mouth starts to have sores) stop using it. You can add up to 8-10 pieces, just adjust to suit your body
